Workplace Making Personal Economic Choices, Grade 12

Course description: This course provides students with a fundamental understanding of a variety of key economic issues and practices, helping them develop their ability to make informed economic choices in their day-to-day lives. Students will examine practical financial matters, such as personal budgeting, taxes, credit and debt, and savings and investment, as well as various economic issues, such as those related to the underground economy, economic inequality, and consumer behaviour. Students will apply the concepts of economic thinking, the economic inquiry process, and economic models to investigate various economic issues and structures and to analyse the impact of economic decisions, including their own decisions, at the individual, community, and national levels.
